Players, yes. Individuals, above all.

Pressure to win, other people's opinions, social media: the outside world arrives fast around a child who plays well. Nova Scouting gives them a safe setting to grow in, with adults who look after them and their family.
Confidence, mental strength, dealing with failure, independence: we develop the abilities they need for everyday life. Football is where they learn — it is not the only goal.
A child who knows who they are, what they are worth and where they are going — with or without a professional career.
Between two players of equal technical ability, what separates them happens in the head: confidence, managing emotions, reacting to a mistake. This is what Nova Scouting works on first, alongside football.
In major-tournament penalty shootouts, a player who must score to avoid elimination succeeds 62% of the time. When the kick can win the match, 92%. Same kick, same distance: only the pressure changes.
Jordet & Hartman, Journal of Sport & Exercise Psychology, 2008
Researchers followed 65 young footballers for 15 years. At a comparable starting level, those who turned professional already stood out as teenagers on three traits: commitment to their goals, the ability to face problems, and the ability to seek support.
Van Yperen, The Sport Psychologist, 2009
England had lost all three of its World Cup penalty shootouts. In 2018 the squad worked with a psychologist, Pippa Grange: visualisation, taking time before the kick. It won its first shootout, against Colombia.

This work happens on the pitch, in every session. During the winter break, one indoor workshop a month extends it. The mental side is also one of the four criteria in the quarterly report given to parents.
Nova Scouting is not a club and plays in no official league. If your child has a club, they keep playing there, and we ask parents to let the club know. If they do not have one yet, they are just as welcome. Matches and tournaments are played within the academy.
On the pitch on Sundays, outside school holidays, in three age groups (U11, U13, U15) of 12 children each: 10 outfield players and 2 goalkeepers. From December to February, a winter break with one indoor workshop a month.
A written, individual report for parents each term: real progress, sticking points, next steps. If things are not progressing, we say so.

At the Centre sportif des Évaux (Chemin François-Chavaz 110, 1213 Onex, Geneva), between 1 pm and 4 pm, for the U11, U13 and U15 age groups. 15 children per age group take part, for 12 places in each final group. Our coaches look at attitude, basic technique, listening and reaction to mistakes — not at a level already reached. Afterwards we tell the family honestly what we saw — and what we did not. Each age group's exact time is sent to registered families.
